Visualization Techniques: 5 Best Strategies For 2020

5 BEST STRATEGIES TO USE VISUALIZATION TO MAKE 2020 A BREAKTHROUGH YEAR

2020 starts not only a new year, but also a whole new decade. This gives us a great opportunity to look both at what we want to achieve in the next year, as well as what we want to achieve in the next 10 years. Most of us will set goals for ourselves this month and work towards achieving them throughout the year, but not all of us will manage to stay the course and achieve them. While you are most likely already a great goal achiever, we’d like to help you do things a little differently this year with visualization techniques.

The power of visualization

We want to help you build on the great practices you already have in your life by adding in the power of visualization. Having a regular visualization practice can make a huge difference to your life by keeping you focussed on what you are doing each day, as well as giving you the motivation you need to keep moving forward as you work towards achieving your goals and living the life you truly desire.

To help you with this we’ve put together our top 5 tips on how to use visualization to make 2020 a breakthrough year for you and set the tone for the next decade.

1. Create A Vision For Your Life

So much will happen and change in the next year and especially over the next 10 years. It’s an exciting time and one of the best things you can do for yourself is to start with the end in mind and be purposeful about what will you create over the next decade. The thing that is missing from most goals is the connection to a long term vision. One of the best things you can do to get different results this year is to create a compelling vision for your life. Not only for the next year, but also for the next 10 years.

What you want to achieve

Creating a vision for what you’d like to achieve and create in your life during that time will help keep you motivated and focussed as you work towards living the life you truly desire. It gives greater purpose to everything you do and will also give the basis on which you can set your goals.

To create a vision for yourself you can ask yourself questions like; where do I want to be at the end of this year? And then at the end of this decade? What experiences would I like to have? What would I like to do throughout this year? Is there anything I would I like to achieve? What am I passionate about? What do I desire in my life? Where would I like to be living? How would I like to be spending my time? Who would I like to be spending my time with? Start to put these ideas together in a success journal and pick out specific moments from your future that you want to experience. Then when we visualize moments from our compelling future, you will have many inspiring and exciting moments to choose from.

2. Set Goals Based On Your Vision

This time of year is a perfect time to set goals, only we’re going to help you set goals in a different way than you may have done in the past. Once you have created your vision for this year, and for the next decade, you can then set goals that align with that vision. When you align your goals with the same passion, purpose and desire with which you created the vision for your life, you know that the goals you set for yourself really mean something to you. And when they mean something to you, you are far more likely to achieve them. So perhaps begin to jot down some goals that you’d like to achieve over the next year, and the next 10 years. They can be both big goals, and smaller goals.

3. Focus On Key Moments

When you think about the next year, there will likely be several key moments, experiences, or turning points for you that you know will make all the different to how your year goes. Once you identify these moments you can then use your visualization techniques to prepare for them. So think about any important moments, or events, that you may have coming up in your life this year, jot them down, and then think about which visualization sessions you could use to prepare yourself in the best way possible for them.

4.Visualization techniques and Daily Practice

be consistent

Consistency is key when it comes to your visualization techniques, so locking in a daily visualization practice is vital. And like most things in life, the more you practice visualization, the more you will experience the benefits. If you can, try to make visualization a priority in your life by setting aside 10 minutes each day for your practice. This way the effect of the practice gets compounded over time and the difference in the success that someone who visualizes every day can make to their year, compared to someone who does not, can be astounding. And not only will a daily practice help you with the skill of visualization, it will also the results you experience.

Vary your sessions

So as well as working on one of the EnVision series and completing a session from that series each day, some of the other types of sessions you could complete to complement your daily practice are as follows. Firstly, visualize your vision for your life each day. This will help keep you focussed on the bigger picture and what you are working towards each day, as well as connect you with motivation and inspiration. Secondly, visualize yourself achieving some of the goals you’ve set for yourself, short term or long term. Doing this will help build belief and confidence in yourself. Thirdly, practice gratitude. This way you will ensure that you feel grateful for the life you have, while you build the life that you want for yourself.

5. Use Single Visualization Sessions To Shift Your State

Our last tip would be to ensure you use our single sessions to help you shift your state and mindset as you go throughout your year. Know that you can use these singles as tools to help you if, for instance, you’re feeling like you have low energy and you want to feel more motivated. Or if you’re feeling stressed and you want to feel calm. Perhaps you can’t fall asleep at night and you need a little help in doing so. Maybe you’re feeling nervous ahead of an event and want to feel more confident. Our single sessions can help you with all these situations as you develop your visualization techniques.
